You’re The One That I Want, Marriage a la Vegas

The world’s biggest sports broadcaster ESPN has announced a major tie-in with the Linq Hotel in Las Vegas, a jewel in the crown of the Caesars Entertainment empire.

The marriage, made in betting heaven, further strengthens the Desert Queen’s desire to become the sports betting centre of the universe; with ESPN announcing the opening of a new 6,000 square foot broadcast facility that will boast three studios and a dozen camera set-ups to produce a stream of 4K betting-themed content across multiple linear and digital platforms.

Chris Holdren, Co-President of Caesars Sports, said: “[This] is a testament both to Las Vegas’ position as the sports betting capitol of the world and its transformation into a sports city.”

“The appetite for sports betting content continues to grow among fans,” said Connor Schell, Executive Vice President of content at ESPN.

“Our new studio will not only operate as the headquarters for that content, but it will also anchor our year-round presence in Las Vegas – a city that has become a destination for the biggest events in sports.”

Added Holdren: “With the marquee location of the studio right at the heart of the Strip, we’re excited to see the unique programming that could only be produced here in Las Vegas.”

ESPN is now planning to transfer its premier “Daily Wager” show to the new Vegas studio on September 8 — a day which also marks the debut of the new Las Vegas Raiders American football franchise.

Mike Morrison, ESPN Vice President of Business Development, concluded: “It’s our ongoing mission to serve all sports fans. We are committed to a bigger presence in Las Vegas and we aim to serve our fast-growing, high engaged audience with authentic content across all platforms.”
