Following the unfortunate incidents in Lewiston, ME on October 25, DraftKings has pledged a donation of $100,000 to the Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund. This is a gesture to extend assistance to those afflicted. Leveraging Maine Community Foundation (MaineCF) as the intermediary, the entire amount donated will be funneled towards the affected individuals and establishments instrumental in Lewiston-Auburn’s recuperative journey. The allocation of the Lewiston-Auburn Area Response Fund’s donations will involve comprehensive local consultation, incorporating insights from MaineCF’s state-wide board, the active participation of MaineCF’s Androscoggin County Committee, and community-oriented steering panels.
